Naval Architect (Structure, Outfitting)

Apply Steelcad AS is a supplier of engineering services within the areas detail engineering and manufacturing preparation for shipbuilding and other steel constructions. In order to carry out this work efficiently and with high quality, we're using modern computer systems such as:

• Foran CAD/CAM (system designed for 3D modelling of ships)
• Sea Solution (fairing of lines)
• AutoCad
• Miscellaneous office programs (Word, Excel)

Our customers are mainly Norwegian and European shipyards and ship design companies. In addition we're agent for the Spanish corporation SENER and distributor of the Foran systems in Scandinavia and the Baltics.

The applicants are expected to have good computer user skills and capability to communicate in English (both verbal and in writing).

We're looking for engineers with the following special knowledge:

• Structure
• Machinery/piping

For both activities is it necessary with experience from engineering company or shipyard.

Innenfor områdene stål/struktur og maskin/rørkonstruksjon søker vi etter:

SKIPSINGENIØRER/TEKNIKERE

Arbeidsoppgaver:

• 3D modellering/konstruksjon med bruk av 3D verktøyet Foran
• Stål struktur tegninger og beregninger (Klassetegninger)
• Produksjonstegninger og NC/Lofting
• Isometriske tegninger
• Tegninger av rør/maskin arrangementer
• Saksbehandling overfor verft/skipskonsulenter
• Kurs/support for norske og utenlandske kunder

Ønskede kvalifikasjoner:

• Utdannelse som ingeniør/tekniker innen skipskonstruksjon eller maskin teknikk
• Generell erfaring fra verft fortrinnsvis som rørlegger eller eventuelt erfaring fra konsulentfirma
• Generelt gode kunnskaper i bruk av PC
• Erfaring med bruk av Autocad eller 3D programmer
